The Master of Science in Operations Management Program will host a Lunch and Learn Webinar about "Making Organizational Change Management Work for You" at noon today, Thursday, Dec. 8. The webinar will be presented by Travis McNeal. Participants can register for the webinar on the Operations Management website and find out about upcoming presentations in the webinar series.

More and more companies are taking notice of the need for organizational-change management. Recent history is littered with companies who have undertaken large-scale organizational changes and failed to take into account the importance of one thing, that people may not adopt the new way of working.

This webinar explores ways to increase the odds your project will achieve end user adoption. With many different change management methodologies floating around, how can you strip them down to the most basic elements and what tools can you add to your toolkit? This webinar will also highlight how leaders can leverage behavior science to implement organizational changes. Organizations will continue to evolve and change and with those comes a reliance on someone doing something differently.

McNeal is the director of change management for HR Operations at Walmart — currently leading change management activities for an international ERP project. Prior to joining Walmart in 2011, McNeal spent eight years with the Continuous Learning Group as a senior consultant, assisting clients implement performance management, leadership development and talent management strategies. Clients with whom McNeal has consulted include: ExxonMobile, PPG, CN Rail, Chevron and Cigna to name a few.

McNeal also teaches Human Resources and Organizing for Change for the Masters of Science in Operations Management at University of Arkansas. He earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Utah State University, and a master's degree in behavioral science from the University of Nevada, Reno.

All of the webinars in the Lunch and Learn Webinar Series will be at noon on the second Thursday of each month.
