Public Invited to Sept. 1 Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Open House

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Arkansas invites the public to its annual fall open house from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, in the atrium of the Chancellor Hotel, 70 N. East Ave. in Fayetteville.

"At OLLI-UA we are driven by a passion for learning purely for the joy of growing our knowledge and expanding our interest," said Josh Raney, interim director. "Attending the open house is the best way to learn about the opportunities and programs that OLLI offers as well as all the opportunities to engage with other lifelong learners outside of the classroom. I invite anyone who loves to learn new things or build on their current knowledge to join us and get a first hand look at all the opportunities OLLI can offer."

There will be hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, entertainment and a silent auction. Free parking is available in the city parking deck behind the hotel.

The curriculum committee has developed more than 90 courses for the fall schedule. OLLI also offers social outings and special events. More information is available at the open house and on the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute website.
