FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce announced the 2016-17 participants in Leadership Fayetteville Class XXX on Thursday, Aug. 11, including four University of Arkansas staff members.

Todd Clark is the assistant director of development for Corporate and Foundation Relations, Becca Clifton serves as director of Walton Conference Hub, J.R. Hinkson is associate director for undergraduate programs in the Sam M. Walton College of Business, and Tori Pohlner is the assistant director of development for University Initiatives.

The annual Leadership Fayetteville program exists to create a foundation from which its graduates can further expand their involvement within the Fayetteville community. It is designed to serve as the beginning of a long-term relationship with various aspects of Fayetteville, allowing class participants to learn about numerous segments of the community as well as develop an effective network of contacts through which graduates of the program can pursue their interests in making Fayetteville a better place to live.

The goal of the program is to produce a continued stream of concerned, motivated, and educated individuals of diverse talents and interests eager to pursue and assume leadership roles and volunteer opportunities within the Fayetteville community.

The Leadership Fayetteville program consists of monthly sessions held from August to June. Sessions include social services, education, health care, history of Fayetteville, quality of life, local government, NWA economic development and an overnight trip to Little Rock.

"We are very excited about the 30th year of Leadership Fayetteville," said Jennifer Irwin, director of Leadership for the Fayetteville Chamber. "This is the largest class we have had to date and everyone in the class will bring a unique perspective to all that we will see, learn and experience over the next ten months."
