U of A Offers One-Day Emerging Leaders Certificate Program This Fall

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Professionals can learn to maximize the dynamic leadership skills necessary for success in today's workplace by enrolling in a one-day Emerging Leaders Certificate Program offered Thursday, Sept. 29, by the Global Campus in Rogers. The curriculum will mirror that of the Leadership Certificate Program offered in March 2016.

Participants will meet face-to-face from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Suite 402 at 3300 Market St. in Rogers. Lunch will be provided. 

Registration is available online. The cost is $879. A 10 percent discount is available to University of Arkansas faculty, staff and current students. A group discount is also available; contact Erin Morgan at 479-464-5024 or emorgan@uark.edu for details.

Buster Arnwine, vice president of sales for Reckitt Benckiser, will instruct the Emerging Leaders Certificate Program. After successfully serving in various supply chain roles at both Unilever and RB, Arnwine moved to the sales and marketing side of the business in 2010. He has worked as trade manager for Lysol, sales director for Sam's Club and trade director for U.S. Healthcare.

Course topics include the Birkman Assessment and your leadership style, uncovering organizational behavior, verbal and written communication, and negotiation and influence. For a full course description, visit the program webpage.
