FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Kim Williams, a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law, assumed the Business Manager position at the U of A, effective July 5. In this position she will be responsible for areas including procurement, accounts payable, travel, RazorBuy, vendor management and surplus property. Williams most recently worked as the CFO and corporate counsel for a global aviation parts and services consolidated corporation in Joplin, Missouri. Prior to that she served as a civil litigation attorney and the business manager at Rich Mountain Community College in Mena.

“I am very happy that Ms. Williams has accepted the position to be our next business manager,” said Briney. “The business manager plays a critical role in leading the vital business processes that support our students, faculty, and staff. I was impressed by Kim’s breadth of fiscal, managerial and legal experience in corporate, government and higher education environments. We anticipate that she will leverage this experience to serve the growing demands of our campus and manage a high performing team in Business Services. We have also succeeded in recruiting one of our law graduates and it will be rewarding to see this graduate have an opportunity to be a part of the transformation of the University of Arkansas.”

I look forward to working with such a strong, dedicated and accomplished Business Services team to provide the highest level of service to our U of A community and our vendor partners. I am very fortunate to be part of such a highly-respected institution that prides itself on nearly 150 years of higher education excellence."
