The Office for Faculty Development and Enhancement is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Margulis and Jeff Murray have been selected as the Chancellor's Academic Fellows for the 2016-17 academic year. As participants in this program, Margulis and Murray will explore the work and challenges of senior administration, and will be afforded exposure to different academic leadership styles and insight into senior decision processes. The application process includes proposing a project relative to a current campus initiative. Margulis and Murray will be working on cross-disciplinary research and contextual themes, respectively.

Margulis is a professor in the Department of Music and is the director of Music Cognition Lab. She joined the University of Arkansas in 2006.  Her research approaches from a cognitive science perspective, and she is particularly interested in the interface between musical structure and engagement.

Murray is a professor in the Department of Marketing and is currently serving as the department's chair. He has been part of the University of Arkansas since 1989. His research interests include applications of philosophy and sociology of science to consumer research; critical theory; and postmodernism/poststructuralism.
