The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville Student Gallery, sUgAR, is pleased to announce the summer show for 2016, Just North: A Presentation of Works from MSU. The gallery, located at 1 East Center on the downtown Fayetteville square, will open to the public on Thursday, June 2, from 5:30-8 p.m. for an opening reception. There will be a closing reception on Thursday, Aug. 4, from 5:30-8 p.m.

Students at the University of Arkansas are pleased to host their artist neighbors just north of here at Missouri State University. The MSU Art and Design Department's M.F.A. program in visual studies places an emphasis on the student's individual research. The program's students have differing backgrounds and interests which fosters a scholarship community with an interest in developing original research. Since the curriculum is specifically designed to be flexible to meet the individual research needs, the students are able to explore contemporary, traditional, and interdisciplinary approaches and media.

The sUgAR gallery is an interdepartmental exhibition space featuring the visual research of students, faculty, and visiting lecturers from the Department of Art and Fay Jones School of Architecture representing the Departments of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design. sUgAR is made possible by the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of Art, the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, and the University of Arkansas Facilities Management.
