On Tuesday, April 26, the College of Engineering recognized several students at the annual Student Awards and Honors Reception.

"I'm very happy to be here honoring the top students in the College of Engineering," said John English, dean of the College of Engineering. "These students have all worked very hard, and they all have exciting futures ahead of them."

Ryan DuChanois, a civil engineering and Honors College student, was selected as the Outstanding Senior in civil engineering, as well as Outstanding Senior for the college.

Eight other students received Outstanding Senior Awards from their departments:

  • Christian Heymsfield,** biological and agricultural engineering
  • Kristina Maxwell,* biomedical engineering
  • Kaylee Smith,** chemical engineering
  • Alexander Anderson, computer engineering
  • Joseph Sirrianni,* computer science
  • Brett Schauwecker,** electrical engineering
  • Daniel Fritsche,** industrial engineering and
  • Samuel Jenkins,* mechanical engineering.

Ty Austin was recognized for being selected as a Presidential Scholar by the university.

Twelve students were recognized as a First Ranked Senior Scholar for having achieved a 4.0 grade point average for coursework completed on this campus:
