Women's Giving Circle Accepting Grant Proposals Through June 29

The University of Arkansas Women's Giving Circle is now accepting proposals for programs and initiatives supporting the campus and community. Projects should include work that falls within the scope of the Women's Giving Circle's priority areas:

  • Scholarship, Research and Service
  • Quality of Life of Women and Children
  • Outreach and Engagement in Arkansas and Beyond

Please visit the Women's Giving Circle website to view the proposal application, review the process and see a list of past funding recipients. The deadline for proposal submission is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29. Grants will be awarded during the fall voting event on Oct. 7. Please contact your unit's development officer with questions, clarification or assistance in preparing your proposal.

Please note the following changes to the 2016 application process:

  • Applications are 100 percent online! The Women's Giving Circle is utilizing Qualtrics to collect applications survey-style. Applicants will be able to edit, save and return to the survey until June 29 at 5 p.m.
  • An Excel budget report has been added as an application requirement. The template should be strictly followed and is available along with the application on our website.
  • The Submission Cover Sheet will be provided by circle development staff to your dean or vice chancellor's office. It is not due with your initial application this year.*
  • Beginning with the 2016 Grant Cycle, the Women's Giving Circle is instituting a two-year funding rule. No applicant may receive funding for the same project for more than two consecutive years. After a third year has passed, projects or programs are welcome to submit another application.

*Completed applications will be distributed to college and unit development officers for review and approval by the dean or vice chancellor. All proposals must be approved by the dean or vice chancellor of your unit before they can be considered. You may make unit leader recommended changes to your application until July 15 at 5 p.m. Signed submission approvals (provided by circle staff) are also due from unit leaders on July 15 at 5 p.m. These should be emailed by the unit leader's office to Tori Pohlner at vpohlner@uark.edu and Karen Stair at kstair@uark.edu
