Nursing Student Awarded Scholarship from Education Consortium

Melissa Blakemore, a senior studying nursing at the University of Arkansas, received a $500 scholarship recently from the Northwest Arkansas Nursing Education Consortium.

The consortium awarded a scholarship to one senior each from the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing at the U of A and the nursing programs at NorthWest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville and Northwest Technical Institute in Springdale.

Blakemore, a Fayetteville native, plans to graduate in December and work in a hospice setting.
