Crystal Bridges' International Showcase to Feature U of A Students
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will host an International Showcase, highlighting the diversity of cultures in the Northwest Arkansas Community.
BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will host an International Showcase from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, with a series of events that will highlight the diversity of cultures in the Northwest Arkansas community.
The program will kick off with performances by the University of Arkansas Global International Culture Team Band, NorthWest Arkansas Community College’s Hmong Cultural Group and John Brown University’s Latin Mix Group.
International students will lead bilingual Art Talks, present unique art-making projects on the lawn and give musical performances in the galleries. The museum encourages students and guests to bring their own instruments and jam at Open Mic space that will be provided on the lawn.
The program will conclude with a Global Fashion Show in the museum’s Great Hall.
Admission to the exhibition Van Gogh to Rothko: Masterworks from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery will be free during the event.
This program is made possible by Walmart Global Diversity Teams, NorthWest Arkansas Community College, John Brown University, as well as the University of Arkansas Office of International Students and Scholars, International Cultural Team, the Office of Study Abroad and International Exchange and Spring International Language Center.
