Yoga class held at the UREC Fitness Center

University Recreation values health and well-being and will be offering a group fitness class just for University of Arkansas faculty and staff during the spring semester.

The UA Faculty/Staff FIT class has been successfully offered by UREC for a full year on campus and has helped many faculty and staff stay committed to their health and wellness goals. “The UA Faculty/Staff FIT class gives me a pick-me-up during the week and helps to keep me motivated to exercise the other days at home,” said Cedar Middleton, library technician in the Mullins Library. “All of the instructors are wonderful and make the workout fun. The weekly class makes me want to work even harder to stay in shape and push myself to better health.”

UA Faculty/Staff FIT class takes place at the UREC Fitness Center in the Arkansas Union from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Tuesdays during the spring 2014 semester (see specific class schedule).  The class format varies from week to week and will include Zumba, yoga, Pilates Fusion, Body Sculpt, PiYO and Bosu Conditioning.

A UREC membership is not required to participate. Simply bring your U of A ID, a towel, water bottle, comfortable exercise apparel, and non-marking shoes. Free locker storage for valuables while participating in the class is provided.
